The Rangitāiki River Scheme Review fits within the wider context of several significant storm events and is one of a number official reviews that together help us better understand what happened and what can be done differently in the future.
- Whakatāne District Council completed a review of the actions taken by WDC in relation to the adverse weather and flooding events affecting the district in April 2017. Review and documentation is available on their website.
- The Bay of Plenty Civil Defence Emergency Management Group commissioned an independent review of the Group response to Ex-tropical Cyclones Debbie and Cook April 2017. The review report will be made available once it has been received by the Bay of Plenty Civil Defence Emergency Management Group Joint Committee in December.
